All I’m saying is tiktok and twitter and our enhanced connectivity to eachother is why people of all races are speaking one way lol, i don’t agree with it but it’s not some evil exploitative adoption of language, it’s a consequence of these apps 🤷‍♂️

What? Do you not think it’s due to twitter & tiktok and the societal changes that come with it? Lmao

Those are channels for the appropriation of black culture. That’s it

I feel like a lot of the youth coming up has been heavily influenced by black culture directly or indirectly here in the US, not to mention ever rising increase of mixed race marriages and subsequent children

    The Chinese didn’t create

    • twitter
    • the music industry
    • cultural appropriation

And it would be happening all the same whether TikTok existed or not. TikTok is nothing special

    • own the largest social media

Music, movies, media in general. They just think it sounds cool. You have upperclass kids in South Korea speaking in ebonics now. That's all it is really.

True. Then you also can factor in that people talk the way others talked in the environment they grew up in

Obviously these two guys are gonna talk way different because of where they grew up

It's not really just 'white people' it's white kids or teenagers, maybe young adults who see the speaking patterns and words through social media or pop culture.

I think some places like the south or some parts of Cali it's also just the way people talk.

Like a southern white person (e.g. Paul Wall, Bubba Sparxxx, etc) just have a country ass dialect or the "bro, dawg" skater valley type of dialect in Cali (e.g. billie eilish, etc.) y'know?
