What if the interviewer didn’t think that it was too many songs?

Then it should reflect in their end of years. They tell 10 rappers that their albums are classic and then end of year comes and none of those artist make it. 😂.

Be consistent. Or don’t Tweet contrary to your interview. They do that all the time. B Dot heavenly critiized drakes last few albums On twitter and when they sat down with him, crickets

    What if... get this

They actually do enjoy those albums?

    Holy s***

  • NorthShoreWhiteGuy

" Welcome to the show, glad you're here, your album, I gotta say though, is dog s***"

    Well that set the mood

There’s a nice way to Tell an artists their album/song wasn’t doing it for ya. I’ve done it multiple times in my interviews

This, like you can break it down gently if a song wasn't for you, without actually s***ting on the artist lmao

Who said anything about enjoying albums. I’m saying be honest with your critique.

Don’t sit and tell Sean that his album is a classic and his best work and then on Twitter day something differnt. Or end of year list you have none of those
    Artist represented lol

It’s simple. You like what you like but you shouldn’t like something because the person is in the room

ktt users more concerned about 'owning' artists instead of teasing out some interesting interactions and responses from them

KTT interviewers be like " Why was your album so trash?"

But they are offering critique though. It’s not just promotion it’s just dishonest critique

Its not the point of an interview tho. Like imagine going to the breakfast to promote your album just to have them say it’s too long, no replay value, your worst album yet. It defeats the purpose of the interview for the artist

Sean’s album can be his best work maybe even a classic and still not make a end of year list because other artists dropped that year.

What if they like it, have critiques but don’t see the point of bringing it up in an interview because they want to provide the most comfortable environment for the artist? What if they changed their mind do they have to keep you updated on their opinion?

Zane Lowe tells everyone that their album is amazing. No journalistic integrity whatsoever.

Same thing for most of these other outlets. Outside of Charlemagne, I don’t see much honest commentary on the quality of albums

Big Sean probably thinks he has a classic on his hands because in all his interviews they just feeding him cap.

    because they're corporate pussies lmao

Charlemagne definitely goes into every Post interview aiming for his jugular, but, that's another story

And he hasnt been back since lol. Most artists probably know what theyre getting into when it comes to charlamagne but still choose to go there because of how huge the platform is

That’s lazy journalism. You think asking Sean why he used a Virginia sample for a Detroit cypher track isn’t promting the album? Just be honest is what I’m saying. You don’t have to call everything a classic. You can ask questions that critiques the work and be respectful.

Literally no one asked Kendrick why DAMN was his most mainstream album even though everyone thinks that. Who wouldn’t have loved to hear why he went in that direction

You're ignoring the fact that Charlemagne is a troll, and while he may genuinely not like an album, the way he goes about interviewing people is clearly to get a reaction. I'll never forget Kanye sonning him in the Yeezus interview simply by not giving him the reaction he was looking for.

    Not everyone is a critic

The people you mentioned aren’t pitchfork or anthony fantano

They’re music admirers and even if they don’t personally enjoy something they don’t claim it’s factually bad bc it’s not their place, just a preference

So they’re able to enjoy the art for what it is and appreciate the work even if they personally don’t like it

I feel like charlamagne and ebro already do that tho. As a viewer you can pick and choose which platforms you think are more informative. People like zane lowe and rap radar arent bad at what they do they just focus more on promoting and celebrating artists
