Yeah this is something people seem to forget. Someone can technically sing but the sonics and other nuances of their voice really matter. The only way I can describe it from my ears is that someone can sing and sound decent but it doesn't sound good enough or have that it factor in my opinion. That's why I hate listening to those youtube cover artists because their voice just ruins the song for me even though they can sing.

This is something you learn lol when you A&R for a lot of people, so many people have straight boring and voices that aren't believable, the words don't sound real when they sing them, they have no vocal personality, no unique qualities
