You're right, was talkin bout this a few weeks back.

A lot of the popular r&b sounds lifeless and cheap with no soul. It's just a bunch of airy/spacious keys with trap drums hitting just as hard as the crooning artist.

But there are some good artists out there, just not doing huge numbers by the bunch maybe.
