consciousness doesn't "exist", it's a phenomenon that happens within the brain as it interacts with the rest of the body and perceives the external world. Nobody getting consciousness surgery

• Going beyond the point of physical observation is when you enter the argument of metaphysics. If you want to believe that there's a larger dimension to consciousness than it being a byproduct of a physical phenomenon, go for it, but there's no concrete proof that that is true. The "hard problem of consciousness" has never been answered conclusively and we've really never come close to answering it. Materialists don't focus one way or another on metaphysics because perceiving some sort of "divine" essence in physical terms is impossible for humans to do in empirical terms, hence why religion is called "faith"

Personally I stopped giving a s*** about it a few days after it dropped. But that's mostly because I wasn't really all that excited about it to begin with. I'm sure the people who were excited for it are still listening to it and enjoying it, and that's good for them.

I'm also sure that the tour Travis goes on in support of Utopia will be very successful, and he will likely sell out the two stadium shows he has in NY/NJ and LA.
