Because they can’t sing so they have to rely on trap produced “vibes” and edgy aesthetics
Raveena bringing it back
Love her so much
Maybe that’s why they fell off
Need to do like Travis and make that s*** dark
Not releasing music = falling off
They crafting another masterpiece
Bro PND1 had trap staccato drums before Weeknd ever did
The Morning...?
Not releasing music = falling off

It’s gonna flop lol. I love Majid Jordan but let’s be real

Their music never did big numbers so i dont see how itll be a flop if it does more than their last album

Neither did DVSN but their last album did like 17k which is actual progress.
MJ likely not even doing that and if you been stagnant for that long with no progress it’s a flop.
basically 808s came and people decided to go in a more dark direction no more warm guitars and laid back songs more songs in minor key etc. after 808s came sfg which kinda changed the game then you had HOB and take care in the same year to phase that kind of music. music constantly evolves so it’s not a surprise r&b turned dark when it wasn’t like that before. trilogy, drake and kanye basically made it ok to be an a****** or to make super depressing r&b songs
Yeah pretty much music has 4 moods
Simp anthems
Real badass I do d**** n s***
Emo sad my girl left me
h**** uno what I mean
You forgot IG Thot music lmaooo
Not stanning but when HOB came out, this type of R&B almost phased out immediately
This “warm” sound was already phasing out before HOB dropped because of Drake and 40s signature “dark” sound.
The Weeknd may have accelerated the end of that warm sound but it wasn’t because of him.
I kinda agree and disagree with @Bmezy. It'll be a long while for R&B to return to it's Gospel/Soul roots on a mainstream level, but I believe we're heading towards it. If people really love "Leave the Door Open", it shouldn't be too far fetched that people will get tired of that dark cold atmospheric sound that Weeknd and Drake introduced.
Plus people are tired of just smashin lol, we're heading towards making love nowadays lmaoooo

Leave The Door Open is more of an anomaly, Bruno is already a well established artist. The real test is a new up and coming artist with that sound breakthrough.

People definitely will, because every decade is always a cycle of things. Times will change and people's tastes will change. 10 years from now, kids will look back at the 2010s and be like "ewww that s*** trash" lmaooooo
