    Out of pac and big, death helped big’s legacy more than pac’s. Big had 2 albums and the biggest songs would be seen as pop garbage if he didn’t die

    Biggie probably would've got backlash bc People were over the shinysuit, materialistic stuff and they wanted that hard s*** again which is why DMX was so successful.

    Biggie would've adapted though imo bc he was more at home with the street songs to begin with.

    Oh you’re definitely right there. I’m not saying big would’ve fell off but I guess it’s just a complicated hypothetical, and say if they both retired at that point, Pac’s legacy would’ve been better than big’s

    Hov was already on Def Jam and successful when L got murdered tbh.

    Now I do feel that argument can be made for Biggie. Not the jealous part but how Hov benefitted from the void left from his passing.
