One of my favorite albums from Nas
Black President song is laughable looking back now though
The album has aged incredibly tbh. I didn’t really like it back in 08 if I’m being honest but I really appreciate it now and I think a lot of people are going back and feeling the same
That’s crazy bc @This_is_Bow and I were just talking about how well crafted it is
Definitely wanna hear fantano, vlad, peter rosenburg, all have a roundtable discussion around Nas’s album “N****r” tbh
Definitely my favourite Nas album. Had the perfect blend of radio hits, modern production and insightful lyricism you’d expect from Nas.
Never hear people talk about it
hmm, now thinking about it, you actually right, nobody gives that album the flowers it deserves.
Nas a messenger without being corny fr
You’re 100% right. That’s what differentiates him with basically anybody. He’s legit a rap messiah
I loved this album at the time. Testify, Breathe, N.I.G.G.E.R and America the standouts.
It dropped at the time when Wayne was at his peak and rap was heading into a more cartooney era.
Carter III dropped, 808s did. Then the release of Relapse, Wayne’s Rebirth and the birth of Drake and the new gen followed the year after.
With all that going on this album kind of gets forgotten cause the content was too serious.
That being said almost every album he dropped since bar Nasir was better.
Heard this is @Hereditary and @notbrock fav album
Heard this inspired @Hereditary beat tag

the fact it was nominated for best rap album at the grammys and there couldve been some c***announcing its win. lmfao yikes
It semi came and went when it was released. 2008 was a different era. Distant Relatives met a similar fate. Superb albums regardless.
Yeah, Distant Relatives is no where near as good as Untitled
Yeah, Distant Relatives is no where near as good as Untitled
Basically a reggae album with a rap verse per song, I don’t like reggae personally so I agree, but Nas’ verses were for the most part
