SolidSnakua forum that's known for doxxing and stalking people. has gotten worse and worse especially in the past few years. most recently byuu (the developer of bsnes) committed suicide and attributed much of the blame to harassment from them, they had like a whole thread going back five years solely dedicated to harassment. i remember the first comment on the news was some s*** like "lol dead".
i legit haven't seen less empathy on the internet, not even on any of the chans.
that's strait up murder imo they definitely should be shut down

Also 99% of the time it's relatively calm, it's just the 1% of the time that s*** hits the fan in certain boards and causes actual damage or affects the real world.

It’s actually proven that removing those communities dispersed the communities
We can look at reddit’s removal of the_donald as a great example of this. Before it’s removal, pro trump brigading and harassment was widespread
After the ban, most of its user base is inactive or part of subreddits that regularly get caught and banned
Zero tolerance policies and deplatforming work and it’s far more effective than leaving people alone and letting them grow, plan, and execute goals that can cause damage

Most of the racism is contained to boards like b and pol
Misogyny, transphobia, and homophobia are rampant in every board
The anime boards house a lot of borderline pedophiles
Outside of that it's pretty tame minus the occassional troll s***. I consider it better than Reddit and Twitter but worse than here
