Any one has the right to feel any type of way what I’m saying re: point on Japanese people is that everyone ITT complaining is yelling at a wall 10,000 miles away

Ok and ? Most of the posts itt are people voicing their frustrations on the different treatment black people have when wearing dreads. Doesn't matter if its 5 miles away or 5000. That's the thing bout the internet, people can give their opinions or feelings on things without it necessarily having to have some great impact.

A lot of the stuff y’all say people only care about on the internet, people care about irl, y’all just don’t be socializing with enough people. Especially when it come to people of color(mainly black folk).

But ur not getting what I'm saying.

U can't compared dreads to Tyler Perry or George Lopez making money off stereotypes, simply because dreads is just a hairstyle not a stereotype of anything.

Yes hairstyles can be apart of someone's brand but that usually only happens for unique looks like colored dreads or what not. Like is Chris Evan's haircut a part of his brand or something that's being commoditized ? I'm not getting ur point about celebs glamorizing them, when they're simply just wearing their natural hair.

Ur missing the point, I personally like the idea of culture being able to spread and cherish by others in an ideal world. But I would get why people would be upset about non blacks wearing dreads carefree while on the flip side when dreads are worn by us, they're frowned upon and carry a stigma.

Like wouldn't u feel away if there's something in ur culture that u do naturally but get s***ted on immensely by people outside ur culture, only for them to do the same without any type of stigma ?

Then adding centuries worth of context of culture being disrespected and stolen, like it's understandable for someone to feel a way. It's not like anyone itt saying they should be punished or throw in jail or sum s***

To be fair, it sounds like the people in the video are discriminated against for rocking dreads also. One of them was even questioned by police

This type of thing has never bothered me, it's the hypocrisy to then belittle black people that's upsetting
