FlapheadI will say I empathize with wanting to hype an artist on this particular medium. For all its flaws, KTT is still my favorite place to talk music and follow artists I love after all these years. It’s the forum communication style for sure, but when I’m part of a thread where everyone’s on the same page about an artist that I don’t know anyone else f***ing with, that’s magic.
That said, the oversaturation is real. I gotta be objective as much as I love Fred, the threads have been on a Yeat level of fans overdoing it lately

Tbh my growing favorite thing about this music is how it deals with depression lowkey. Its not even lyrical music but this doesn't feel gimmicky. It's actually giving people in that scenario a sense of release as opposed to other music that addresses the topic in a superficial and dangerous way

I’m not really talking about hyperbolic threads like these, probably the wrong place for this, but KTT is always mad cynical whenever a new artist pops up and a large portion of the site fw it.
It’s like a weird hipster thing where people feel the need to push back against something because a lot of people like it, despite listening or not.
