some people in this thread are trying their absolute hardest to hate for no reason
It's pathetic to see
Bro if music has a way of shaping people's personalities, then it does have a way of shaping society as a whole.
no it doesn't, by the time you reach 25 you are pretty much out of date and should know better than listening to what these artists have to say.
This is why we cringe at Eminem
Yeah I completely disagree with the idea of it being “empowering” too, and honestly can’t stand people saying that. It’s essentially an organization determining the most profitable part of you as an artist is your body and so that’s what they’re going to need to push in the imagery surrounding your music.
As much hate as Billie gets on here and as much as she’s said some very dumb s*** recently, we need more female artists that are allowed to have creative control and don’t have to rely on appearing to be a 10/10 in bed to sell a record.
Yea, teenage kids on KTT think they just discovered feminism bc a music video made them h****.
Ain't nothing empowering about a 50 year old label exec going "mmm yeah that's sexy baby, I love that "
Obviously the music industry wants to make money.
Obviously the music industry uses s***to make money because there is a demand for sexualized content featuring women.
And who is driving that demand? Men.
Be the change you want to see in the world and speak with your wallet. Support female artists who are marketed in a manner that you find acceptable. There are plenty of them out there.
If we want to stop hypersexuality in rap or music as whole, we need to start making less songs and videos full of it and about it. It's a long process that musicians don't want to do

what about every1 who listens to music
under 25
when Rhapsody drops a masterpiece, y’all stay sleeping
when Cardi drops a basic ass song about her p****, it goes straight to #1
S***isn’t the only thing female rappers are offering. You’re wrong about that. They all have some deep songs and some ratchet songs. This is like saying male rappers only sing about d**** and guns.
And yes it’s also empowering.
I wasnt on ktt1 in 2013 i wonder if anaconda stirred up the same conversation on there

by 25 its when you should get your s*** together and work a 9-5, having fun and being ignorant before that is more than fine.

seems kind of stupid to just discredit the idea that a woman can feel powerful by being sexy just because a label exec wants to make money

Yeah,I kinda get the “empowering”part people try to push, women want to own their bodies but the girls pushing that agenda in videos probably has to sign contracts that tell her “stay in shape”and “eat a healthy diet” all the time.
I blame p*** and onlyfans.
P*** has existed for years homie, try again.
I blame it on losers who literally find any reason to blame women for why they “overly sexual” which is hilarious to me because it completely disregards how s***plays pretty significant gender roles.
Women are supposed to be modest and men are supposed to be the sexual advancers. Which is ironic because most of these losers feel that it’s women’s fault for why the can’t get laid.

You know where each of them can be found? On popular playlists and with major push. You know who has the one song on said playlists to counter them? Rapsody.
So it is literally 1 for every handful. Get lost.
Prob like 3 people in this list have a top 40
He has no point because of reasons I stated above in this same page eat a d*** ya moron
Ok you said it's been done since the 60's I think most people knew that and OP is just trying to say that the industry should tone down on it
What's bad about that. I'm not trying to blame women. We're blaming the INDUSTRY profiting off it
