    Yes 808s came after tpain

Tpain even said 808s is a remake of his album

But you a Ye stan so you dont know that…

Yeezus was literally the underground sound at the time too

The only thing that Kanye remade from the T-Pain is the AutoTune on 808s

Tell me which songs that T-Pain made before Kanye that sound like Coldest Winter, Paranoid, Say You Will, and Amazing.

    I'll wait.

    The Darkest Angel

Ye brings in T-Pain to help make 808s and Ye stans acting like he had no influence on it. They probably don't know Cudi helped to

Ok, but which instrumentals that T-Pain made that sound like the s*** Ye make on 808s......

    The only similarity is AutoTune

Y’all are pretty much arguing beat selection vs vocal technique

Ye took the vocal technique from T Pain
    Subject matter from Cudi
And beats from 80’s mixed with modern bass/808 at the time

This arguably could be on 808s if you hear it in Ye’s voice but of course beats from 05 aren’t gonna sound like beats from 08 just off how fast the club /beat landscape changes between 04-05, 06-07 and then 08 going into 09 (side note which is why it sucks that music in the last ten years has pretty much stayed revolving around trap beats but that’s another thread)

Correct, this is the only answer in this dumbass thread

Learned something new today: being influenced by something that already exists means you're unoriginal and aren't bringing anything new to the table
Seriously what artist doesn't have influences

  • Jan 6, 2022

No ideas original, there’s nothing new under the Sun, it’s never what you do but how it’s done

    Because he invented Kanye

    There wasn’t any Kanyes

And now I’m looking looking round and there’s so many kanyes

Kanye’s influence proves his originality, whatever that word means.

Whatever he’s done, the rest of the industry has followed in step and cited him as the primary influencer.
