youtube doesn't like content you think is funny. it gets made but it also gets cencored. youtube is a company and has the right to chose what it wants hosted. They chose to be more and more talkshowhost/kid friendly. it is what it is, it is their right, and will be their downfall eventually.

The algorithm and companies made it so everyone had to be safe and do stuff for kids. They'll demonetize anything.
Old skits on youtube used to be trash too though. It was funny when I was a kid but looking back it it they corny

Pretty sure that you get those recommendations based on what you normally watch, or you have recommendations turned off entirely and are getting recommended big family friendly channels.

I haven't payed attention to mainstream yt since like 2017 and the trending page is definitely rigged to who YT wants to push, plus their are 100,000s of channels that are better than what's poppin on YT rn.
