It's terrible but honestly that's just the state of U.S/West social media at this point. It's normalized because it's within platforms that are racist. They're one of the biggest, but most successful immigrant groups and people don't like that

Pretty much there has been a large influx of Temporary foreign workers and a large majority of them are from India. Some of them come under the guise of a student visa to a bs for profit college and work for cash to eventually get PR

This has caused a huge economic issue because North American born ppl regardless of race are having a hard time finding jobs and housing due to this new supply of people

This is also bad for the workers coming in because they will never be able to afford anything in North America and many of them live 5-7 ppl in a one bedroom condo. It’s not their fault for coming and I don’t want to use the word slavery but they basically are forced to work whatever hours and conditions their employers set with the risk of being deported

This isn’t the immigrants fault for coming here for a better life. This is the governments fault on all levels for bringing in so many people with out the infrastructure to support it. This is all being done to supply businesses with cheap labour so they can raise profits and minimize costs

The social aspect is that you have a bunch of people unfamiliar with the culture all from one place moving into the same locations in North America. This effectively changes the country, traditions and social norms. This is what people have a problem with along with the decline in economic opportunities. Imagine you live in a town of 50k people where everyone is white and then one day 10k indian people show up and start renting all of the places and working all of the min wage jobs. It's very jarring and create some conflict

This is happening world wide with Indian , Pilipino and Nigerian workers as they are the largest immigrant base
