Why is school choice bad?

    three reasons why

    • teachers is actually worth while job which you need a masters (no disrespect to teachers now my mum is teacher and she works hard)

    • no tests until the end of school test to go until collage/uni

    • they cut a lot crap out

    with the exception of some STEM subjects, all the public school teaching positions i've seen in the states required a MA/MS

    then again i live in MD so maybe that's why

    It would likely take funding away from public schools as more people start to move their kids out leaving only kids who can’t afford private school to be in an even more underfunded school. This would target black and Hispanic communities the hardest

    This. The fact that trump calls it “the civil rights issue of our time” is f***ing pathetic

    Of course in a perfect world everyone should be able to pick what school they go to. But at the very least, don’t act like helping one kid out of every 500 go to a better school helps anything in the grand scheme. Those bad schools that the kid wanted to get out of in the first place still exist. Fix those.
