Not to say that Black people shouldn't be allies, s***, oftentimes Black people be going the hardest for any racialized injustice done towards PoC. We ain't new to the concept of allyship, and our sociopolitical history in the US shows this.

It's just weird to see this article was put out after the recent massage parlor shooting committed by some crusty lookin white dude that took the lives of 8 Asian Americans. Sure, Black people been in the fight against white supremacy for centuries so I guess I can understand why there's this call for Black people to be allies to Asian people. However, shouldn't something like this be more of a call to action for white people to recognize their anti-Asian violence and bigotry? You know...some s*** that's been going on for years?

Don't nobody ever wanna talk about the Japanese internment camps that just threw any kind of Asian person in there and the acts of racism white people unleashed on Chinese immigrants working on the railroads in Texas and many other states. Black people have been responsible for a lot of the more high-profile incidents of violence against Asians lately.

There has also been a lot coming out from Asian-American advocates calling for their communities to stand in solidarity with black people, so it’s not like they are trying to make it out as a one-sided effort.
