Missed the entire point of this thread just to get your own bullshit off.
Well sorry that wasn’t my intention, yeah NBC was corny for trying to push this issue on Black people instead of informing everyone about racism against Asian Americans

But I definitely agree that it's weird how the focus in the media seems to be on "poc solidarity" instead of.. you know... white people stop being racist lmao
why does chef boyarde have an account on here lol
chef boyarde needs to be canceled for stopping the mac and cheese 😭😭 that s*** was bangin

I hate how the media just tries to divide every single group into smaller and smaller groups

poc solidarity is important but the way we frame it is always “black ppl need 2 be kinder to other ethnic groups”
like hold on

niggas need to get on they baldwin fr
we gotta hold our people accountable but at the same time recognize the conditions we are in. urban cities are damn near designed for us to beef with each other
There is no POC solidarity, I'm glad that more of these boba liberals and Asian Americans as a whole are waking up to this s***.
Man shut up. There's nothing even wrong or hateful in this thread
They hurtin already
You shoulda posted this in the Black empowerment thread bro we woulda been able to have a more fruitful discussion. Gonna be a lot of bullshit posted in here against black people
The media always uses clickbait to stir up drama and push whatever narrative they want. With the atlanta massacre, there was no word about victims being asian either.
This s*** isn't new. Reading the article tho, I understood it more as what she personally (the author) is doing to be an ally. But no, it isn't up to black people to solve asian hate crimes

Honestly nothing against her at all for making that article, and I think that is a good thing for a Black person to communicate to other Black people in regards to allyship towards other PoC.
However it just leads to a couple questions I got for her...has she ever written similar articles for other PoC about how they can be strong allies for Black people? Does she know any PoC writers who made articles similar that also called for their people to be strong allies for Black people?
It's just wack for the responsibilities of social justice to always fall on the shoulders of Black people, but it seems like nobody ever wants to be there for us. It's like pulling teeth getting folk to come to our aid, but we're expected to drop everything and be there for others.
It's exhausting really.

If I posted it in the Black Empowerment Thread it'd just end with what @soccerfanj just said.
And honestly, I agree with his point to a degree

Definitely agree. I also think this article is okay.
I think the bigger problem is all the asian / middle eastern people that go online and talk about "well BLM was everywhere but no one talks about this other problem!". It makes it feel like they only supported BLM (IF they did) just so they could get something out of it.
That is the worst part of this whole issue, makes me feel disgusted as an asian person myself

Spot on.
If you want to appeal for other's help, you CANNOT antagonize them.
They acting like black people can't be racist against Asians
Don't know where that's being said. People are mostly pointing out how it's pretty weird to calling on Black people to be stronger allies to Asian people in response to a racist white man going to a massage parlor to shoot and kill 6 Asian people.
Stop tryna derail this discussion.

Because racism against Asians aren't entirely done by one race group.
Why should black people be “allies” with Asians?
Because when Black Power links with Yellow Peril, white supremacy starts to tremble.
