I meant that a bit sarcastically but Beyonce and Rihanna to a lesser extent are like the standard Black female entertainers or superstars that America is comfortable with which gives them a natural advatage over other Black female artists coming up.
America is only comfortable with a few BW being dominant in the mainstream or music industry and Bey set the bar high as far as career andperformance goes which makes casuals(See: White folks) overlook a lot of other BW artists with similar talent.

beef with her label f***ed her over. she should be huge. even today without label support she makes amazing music but they didn't believe in her vision. when you're an artist that's opinionated and doesn't agree with the label's demands for your music it's easy to get shelved.
