i know it's a stupid to expect ppl to understand music theory terms like that but no, none of these rappers are out of sync or "off beat" as in if you slid their vocals forward or backward it would sound better. it's just syncopation and different pockets than what we normally hear.

music is such a free and beautiful language, and rap music is specifically born out of oppressed people (racially but also usually financially) expressing freedom in ways they can't in other parts of their lives, down to it's pre rap roots

like to this day its ppl freestyling with life sentences

unfortunately so much of discourse around rap music is shaped by ppl ignorant to that history who usually don't care (even if they, like, liked tupac or w/e) and often have no connection to it so they're comfortable arrogantly trying to put things in boxes
