Essentially he’s does Drake’s numbers, whilst being one of the most controversial figures in pop culture, and without none of the promotion or machine backing him.
He’s like the only anomaly to Drake. Kanye can release an album the same day as Drake if he did all that Drake did to promote and they would have similar sales. Drake isn’t that much bigger than him, Drake is an essence Rihanna to Kanye’s Beyoncé.
Drake doesn't really promote all that much, though. Aside from ig posts. Kanye wouldn't do Drake numbers in 2020,don't kid yourself. That aside they aren't rivals, he's Drake mentor or predecessor not his competition. He should treat Drake the way Hov, Wayne,etc. Do.

But I’m a Kanye stan, I think about him more than I’d like to admit. If Kanye is a Drake stan, that’s cool, but you have to admit, his public obsessing over him is very weird. No doubt. I think everyone who posts on here cares about their favorite artists, and music way more than the usual person so it wasn’t a shot at you or anything. Just an observation. But yea Kanye’s view on Drake is a bit weird to me too. I don’t get why he cares so much. Drake plays everything safe, that’s why he’s been at the top for so long. Kanye takes risks and that’s why he goes in and out of favor with public perception. He can’t have it both ways, and it’s better the way he does things anyway, so idk why he stresses over a Drake

Drake has a deal with Apple Music, an ITunes podcast, he uses billboards, he releases three or four pop/dancehall singles leading up to the release, street singles, random freestyles, mixtapes, tv commercials during NBA halftime shows, music videos, album plastered over every Spotify playlist etc

Drake no longer has an apple or iTunes deal. He basically goes to NBA games and if posts and has since the more life era.

It’s like he’s being paid to make Drake seem “cool” or something. I’ve never looked at Drake as being some feared mob boss playboy, but Kanye has been reinforcing this narrative for years, every interview, setting etc.. Randomly most times, at that.

Probably because Drake is still living the life Ye once had....as in being the Top Nigga still getting to f*** random hoes on the road all the time.
