Like this is a 10 out of 10 mixtape. Lonely Star is a f***ing classic, Life of the Party is frightening and amazing at the same time, Thursday is a classic, The Zone is a veritable f***ing soundscape with a really good Drake feature, The Birds parts 1 and 2, f***ing Gone... Rolling Stone, the track that told us how s*** was gonna be the next 8-9 years, Heaven or Las Vegas which, despite being the weakest track on here for me and my least favorite out of all the mixtape closers, is still a great song. Even Valerie has one of Abel’s best vocal performances all time, you don’t know s*** about music or singing if you think otherwise.
Thursday is as good as or arguably better than House of Balloons for me, no question. So why on earth is there a huge disparity between the acclaim for house of balloons and Thursday? Ppl consider both to be among the classic trilogy but there’s generally a consensus that Thursday dipped in quality. I will absolutely never understand this, because Thursday is actually even more bold and experimental than HOB at points. Bro... y’all need to relisten to Gone if you’re not getting where I’m coming from. There’s nothing like that track on HoB. Thursday is Raw Power, HOB is great but Thursday is f***ing raw, right to the jugular. I also love EoS but that one was rightfully also acclaimed, not the subject of discussion here

His third best project tbh, better than EoS...
Yikes. Thread took an ugly turn.

idk how I’d rank it with EoS, my point is that I rank the mixtapes more or less all equally (in fact out of the three HoB has the most tracks that I skip, I usually end up skipping to the latter half of the album to get to Coming Down, Loft Music and the Knowing) while a lot of people for some reason think Thursday is by a large margin the weakest of the three. I have no idea where tf they get this from. The quality is the same. I almost NEVER skip a track on Thursday, how tf can someone skip the god level trilogy of tracks that are The Birds and Gone?
I just wanna get friendly with her...
I like my Fanta with NO ice.
Thursday is the best mixtape
Real, I think they’re all equal but if I had to be honest about the one I go back to listen to the most it’s Thursday
I like my Fanta with NO ice.
And my woody so good it make her blow twice.
Why you no grind you no like money?
HOB is sexy and Thursday deviates a degree or 2 into weird with songs like Life Of The Party and The Birds Pt. 2. Lonely Star and The Birds Pt. 1 are too rock for most ppl's tastes but I love Lonely Star

Weird in this case very much means good then. For me they’re cinematic as f***
People hate it because it’s more rock than R&B
I don’t think i would call it rock, to me it’s still fundamentally r&b even if it incorporates some elements of rock, but I see what you’re saying. Nothing but real ones itt so far
