Tbh i dont actually feel like on the album kendrick is that direct and blatant in ur face about it

To me its actually the critics and discourse around it added a lot of cringe meaning n s*** too it and afterreading some of the “big” opinions on it it seemed like they ehard a diff album to me - or just took alright and projected it onto he whole thing

My problem with tpab is more the songs while having nice raps and good quality lroduction, lacks a lot of musicality in a lot of the songs and i cant feep any desire to move and go a longg with a melody in hardly any of the tracks

This describes it perfectly,Lack of musicality. After awhile it's just a methodical listen.

It’s a classic but I’d give it five more years to be solidified.

There's a lot of albums that I love, but none that I would consider as flawless.
Tpab is probably the only one, maybe Illmatic as well but the syncopation on illmatic is messed up

My thoughts exactly. Everything about tpab seem perfect, even the way the producers managed to deal with them bebop scales or altered scales...everything is on point, that's crazy

    Yep

On average artists simply don't know anything about these scales, syncopation, polyrhythms, shifting keys several times throughout a song, writing charts for several instruments or other more complex musical ideas.
I feel this musical ambition once tied to Kendrick's writing is what makes for a perfect listening experience. Like for example when the beat swells on "How Much A Dollar Costs" along with his increasingly frantic flow or how they the hard "Trap drums" seem almost at odds with the sweet and mellow sounding "Seventh Chords" on "Alright" or the dope head nodding hard hitting rhythm and the beat switch on "Institutionalized".

Kendrick really became a musician with this album

probably the only 10/10 album in decades.

Drake stans are nothing but a bunch of weirdos. Their s***ty ass behavior is ironically the reason why their lord and savior gets so much hate.

Drake is arguably the biggest artist on the planet and you still find time to be unsatisfied and tear other remarkable artists down. You would never put Drake under this type of microscope, and I know you think he has classics. This wild wild
