Anyway checked out his Scary Hours 3 review and even LESS impressed. Missed 85% of the bars, didn't appreciate the classic production but also don't seem to know s*** about whats going on in the industry.

The "White America" bars are about how the white music industry been trying to suppress hip hop's popularity. Mans acted like he ain't know whats going on.

There are valid reasons to dislike him but most of the hate for him on here is because he doesn’t like Drake

Fantano loses me sometimes and he'll always be known as the guy who gave MBTDF a 6 but he's actually pretty level headed in how he a***yzes music overall.

He can actually articulate different elements of what goes into the song, some of the lyricism/meaning, and some of the mixing/engineering elements whereas many other Youtube reviewers either sound repetitive, can't articulate their views well, or only review off of surface level feelings.

He's not perfect but he definitely beats most other people in his space.

Agreed he try’s to defend his music tastes by using the superfluous measure of subjectivity but even when you follow it his music scores , criticism and praises never make any sense and this is especially evident in any rap review

I do find it uncomfortable when someone like him from outside of the culture tries to dissect the feelings of a black male expressing their lived experience as a minority in America. Who is he to say that Drake isnt right for feeling that way? Tiny bit overstepping telling someone that their experience being othered as a black male is invalid. That's what that whole bar was about.

What he doesn't say and does say shows his awareness around this topic, or rather lack of awareness. I don't mean to be that guy bringing it up but it makes sense a lot of it would go over his head. But this is part of a wider discussion that I think is kinda messy.

1 already bruh. People don't understand that this person has a disproportionate sway as a tastemaker as much as they may want to deny it. Which is tragic when they may or may not understand the culture. But we've been over this conversation a million times.
