I rewatched this last night. It's far from perfect, in fact I think once they get to Oz things unravel quite considerably, but Ariana is so so so f***ing good. Everything she did entertained me and her comedic chops are off the charts, one of my favorite performances of the last few years.

Wow I heard the second half of the Broadway musical was worse but early reviews made it sound like they fixed it (not that 70s is a bad score)

If you asked me how to rate the two acts of the musical, act 1 would be an 8.5 or a 9 and act 2 would be a 7. So this is very much on brand.

Still gonna be solid me thinks.

with all due respect to fans of these movies and the musical, i never in my life wanna hear about wicked, ariana grand or cynthia erivo ever again after this movie releases
