Not really. If anything I think it's far more likely we see some sort of split within there than the Dems. It's not gonna be easy to just dump Trump and move on considering Trump kinda sorta changed the entire identity of the party over the past 4-5 years. There will be some who try to move on and "attempt to be more progressive" like they were trying to do pre-Trump, but there's gonna be a good chunk who won't want to do that. Maybe more importantly, I think there's a pretty huge chance the voter base gets split. Trump brought out the true colors of a lot of these people and it's gonna be hard to quell them.

Republicans get absolutely smacked this election - lose senate and lose Texas and Florida and Georgia and Ohio

GOP is in shambles
Dems make PR and DC states

then theres no foreseeable future for the current GOP

then hopefully they nominate someone like Tulsi Gabbard or Andrew Yang who is left but has solid conservative support

would turn dems into the moderate party and the GOP into a weird mix of leftist and conservative

either that or it spirals out of control and we end up with the two party system and electoral college getting dismantled
