When women in big numbers against the use of it, it will change

    Are you non-black? Genuine question.

  • Aug 23, 2020

Also people wont move on from misogyny in music as misogyny is ingrained in our society...

Hell them old rockstars were famously misogynistic

Not the form but the songs now? Probably. Drake rarely uses either and he’s the most listened to. Not a coincidence and probably a sign of what’s to come

A lot of women don't even care lol.

  • Aug 23, 2020

I think it would be a positive thing if people stopped

It doesn't seem like most people care so probably not though

No. For example, we have not as a society all decided to only watch movies about nice people having fun and being kind

True but I see what op’s asking, songs or movies with things we see as homophobic have had their legacies lessened so it’s possible that could happen with misogynistic things, it already has in some cases I’m sure

You understand what im asking. Im not even saying using the word b**** in a song is wrong or we should stop im just asking if it will become outdated, when you look at how society is moving, its not that crazy.

His lyrics never heavily used b****es n hoes to begin with

if the word b**** or hoe offends you in rap music you need to go to a different genre

stop trying to pussify rap music

personally doesn't offend me at all, neither did the word f**hot but when you listen to a song now with that word in it, it usually sounds outdated af to me. Im wondering if at some point the same will happen with b****, which is a word much more commonly used in songs than f**hot ever was.

that’s what I’m saying. All the people itt saying that women ‘don’t care’ gotta figure out a way to explain why so many women loved drake when he was coming up, and still do, because he doesn’t use those words

this isn’t even about misogyny. Drake is a misogynist he just doesn’t call women b****es. Homophobia is still in rap it’s just f** isn’t as common. You’re more likely to hear sweet or f*** boy or whatever

  • Aug 23, 2020

    B****es ain't s*** but hoes n tricks

    Buh buh b****es ain't s*** but hoes n tricks

Maybe you should listen to another genre

I aint ever gonna stop listening to rap i love it too much this wasnt a question aimed at people like us, it's aimed to the mainstream listeners who are fickle, im just asking if this will eventually cause people to move on from rap

    Right lmao

Women who listen to hip hop don’t care about this s***

I swear only white nerds try to change how rappers express themselves in their music

Rap is the most mainstream genre rn, hardcore fans like us who spend time on a rap forum likely won't stop because of it, im asking about the casual listener.

  • Aug 23, 2020

genre might be better off without the mainstream listeners anyway so it isn't necessarily a bad thing if they stopped listening
