She was in like 3 of chris rock movies, she’s defending her friend lmao

    Fair.

I feel if Dave is reached for comment he might actually be on Will side or at least give some nuanced take

If you think an open relationship somehow makes things more progressive in any way you’re lost. How can people point out ‘breaks don’t work’ and yet reject that point. This has more to do with having an IQ than having a dad around to teach you this stuff

  • Someone finna do what they did with Ye and Donda and ask Will what James Avery would have thought lol

I don’t understand people’s logic. You can think Will was in the wrong and still love and respect him and his work. It was a human moment.

Mfs always have to make s*** black and white when something like this is more grey and Nuanced.

A lot of white people reacting more then the guy who got slapped himself. Chris the only one who has the right to be getting emotional about this s***.

ok so I looked their s*** up and found an article that complied the s*** they've said about their marriage

    • will smith: “Because I had been divorced before, I wasn’t getting divorced again. Divorce wasn’t an option,” Smith explained on a 2018 episode of Red Table Talk. “I was devastated even worse than a divorce. We broke up within our marriage and got back together again. We had to rebuild with new rules and something way, completely different.”

    • jada: “I knew that I was not built for conventional marriage,” she revealed to The Guardian. “Even the word ‘wife’: it’s a golden cage, swallow the key. Even before I was married, I was like, ‘That’ll kill me.’ And it d*mn near did!”

After going through a rough patch in her marraige, the A Different World actor realized she was craving freedom. “I just felt like, I needed more freedom,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight, “And freedom in the sense of like … the public wants you to be a certain way, your family needs you in a certain way, your partner needs you to be something. And for me, that just was never … I’m really a free spirit at heart, I really am. And I always have been. And I just felt like my life had got constricted into this little box and it was strangling me, basically.”

seems like jada wanted to be "free" and will never wants to get divorced so they stick together in their "bad marriage for life" bs

Like I mentioned earlier in this thread (and as part of the…maybe 7% of people on this forum that has been in an open/poly relationship, that argentina nigga wherever he is had a good thread about his experience) it really really frustrates me that these 2 are the poster children for how open relationships are like in the celeb world.

Cause my nigga they do it so goddamn awful like…those kind of relationships can be a lot more healthy and honest and transparent (no. Making a show talking about how toxic you were to your mentally unstable sidepiece is not transparent) and less one-sided looking than how it comes off looking at these 2 goofballs.

Not everybody in the world has this crazy jealousy complex especially when it comes to sex.

Exactly. I have some mixed feelings about all of this for sure, but to act like Will Smith is an abuser and treating this like such a heinous act is wild as f***.

Yeah he overreacted but he’s not a monster or a terrible person for having a meltdown. Will Smith beyond the persona is human too and that dumb joke was probably the straw that broke the camels back after a couple years of nonstop jokes.

I know 90% of people only saw that isolated incident but apparently they had been the target of several jokes made earlier throughout the night from different people on stage. They probably felt like everyone was sneering at them and their “open relationship” and the slap and yelling was basically telling everyone to back tf off.
