WESLEYS THEORYYeah he overreacted but he’s not a monster or a terrible person for having a meltdown. Will Smith beyond the persona is human too and that dumb joke was probably the straw that broke the camels back after a couple years of nonstop jokes.
the fact that some people are grasping at straws to demonize will says alot about his character/reputation
he doesnt have a history of violence nor a****** behavior, it would've been brought up right about now

They probably felt like everyone was sneering at them and their “open relationship” and the slap and yelling was basically telling everyone to back tf off.
Somebody that gets it.
BUT (and this is the big butt no megan) WE never asked to be in their business THEY made it ours (the 2pac joints, the August thing I can’t put blame on Jada for that too much that was an interview in response)
I know it aint all his fault cause that was a hurt nigga move but that August interview highkey ruined Will’s life.

The Jada defense being “well they had an open relationship blah blah blah” is a weak one because it wasn’t the fact they were seeing other people that puts Jada in a bad light, it’s the fact that Jada puts all their intimate business out in the open on Red table talk, knowing more then likely that memes and hurtful jokes are going to spawn from it. Their business shouldn’t be everyone’s meme fodder.

My respect for Candace has grown tremendously over the past year or so. She seems level-headed and doesn’t bend to what society thinks she should be or say.
Her piece on Will is spot on, she said what Will did was wrong but went on a deeper level on rooting for his well being and did not chastise him.
