No offence but being a grown man listening to YB is crazy he’s basically a children’s rapper
Saying this with an Im Dontai avi is wild.
You just only like trap music. Nothing wrong with that at all, but just because something else isn’t your preferred style of rap doesn’t mean it’s garbage
I probably listen to more types of music from more countries than you do lol. Tylers just ass bro. His music makes no waves in the culture
The whole Louisiana scene and the producer incorporate that type of jazz in their beats with the loops they use. If you were a real music fan you would know what im talking about
Link me to the folk songs bro. You such a fan so put me on king
The only argument this dude has is "you only listen to trap music"
F***ing pretentious tyler stans man

I’m sure you do, when 9 of the 10 artists you named are just American trap/trap-adjacent artists

I’m not a Tyler stan at all
Didn’t even become a fan of his until 3 years ago, and I barely listen to him unless I’m in the mood to
I’m sure you do, when 9 of the 10 artists you named are just American trap/trap-adjacent artists
Because we're talking about Tylers place within the American rap scene dummy

If your music taste was really as varied as you say it is you would’ve named American artists that operate within different subgenres of rap rather than just primarily one

The sad thing about all this is that he can literally say he just likes popular gangsta rap and the other s*** ain’t for him lmaoo

Nigga why the f*** would I do that when we're talking about the best rappers. Im not trying to impress you by giving you a quirky little album that pitchfork gave best new music too with a artsy little album cover.
Imma name the top niggas who impact the culture, who actually touch the people. Tyler fanbase or at least a large portion of it arent even rap fans.
I don't know
The sad thing about all this is that he can literally say he just likes popular gangsta rap and the other s*** ain’t for him lmaoo
But thats not the case

Again you bring up popularity. Who’s making a bigger impact has nothing to do with this thread whatsoever.
The question was “will Tyler’s next album be better than his last”

Ok so the artists you name are your all time favorites? If not, then who are your all time favorites in music period?

Impacting the culture has nothing to do with popularity or sales.
When Pop smoke was alive he wasnt a hot seller or anything like that but you felt his music, you felt his presence.
You said Tyler is the top hip hop artist from 2017-now. How tf can he be that when his music aint even touching the culture like that? Why do you think he dropped that gangsta grillz tape that most of his fans didnt even understand
I’ll do you one better: post all the songs from that album that aren’t trap
You’ll get laughed at
There aren’t any trap songs on that album goofy

Pop Smoke was popular though lmao the sales came as more people took notice due to him getting radio play and being as charismatic as he was. He was able to reach people because of the amount of exposure he had.
Tyler did not get any radio play but still managed to make a name for himself and get the recognition from legends and his peers (Hov, Kanye, Wayne, Wu Tang, Nas, Charlie Wilson, Badu, Roy Ayers, Pharrell, Kendrick, Mac Miller, ASAP, Drake etc) Even people on the list you had respect Tyler’s artistry. He makes timeless music.
Wolf got some s*** on it and this doesn’t apply to the whole album but Domo23 came on the other day and yo that song was some ass looking back
Domo23 was Tyler bringing some B******/Goblin Tyler into Wolf and I agree aged bad, but overall it's a great album

I never said he was the top hip-hop artist, I said his body of work from 2017-now is stronger than any other rapper’s within that same timeframe
Two different statements

You’re actually stupid

semantics. Both are wrong no matter how you want to look at it. Hes not the top nigga nor does he have the top body of work

He does have the top body of work since 2017. No rapper you named has better.

to who though. Pretentious RYM posters? ill give you that. But to actual rap fans hes not that guy

That’s funny cause actual rap fans who have been fans of the genre for years have cited Tyler as being one of the best right now but continue to lie lmfao nobody actually thinks Youngboy is a top tier rapper at all. You saying RYM and this and that just tells me you have an agenda to push. I’m done giving you the time of day, god
