A self insert RPG would’ve been cool, but I don’t think CDPR excel with that stuff.
After Cyberpunk I think they’ve gone back to their bread and butter — narrative driven with heavy source material stuff.
I imagine there will be some emotive catchup quests later in the game with Geralt, Yen etc.
Wouldn't have minded another Witcher, just not anyone from the previous games
Don't doubt this will be an excellent game though. The Witcher 2 and 3 some of the best games I've ever played

2 worth playing?
2 worth playing?
I think the main story and combat of The Witcher 2 are far better than The Witcher 3 Worth a playthrough imo

dang
I feel the same way about The Witcher 3 side missions vs main plot
Sort of agree, honestly — the final act with Avallac’h and the Wild Hunt is pretty underwhelming. I feel like the Heart of Stone DLC was made specifically to deal with those shortcomings.
That being said, I love the Bloody Baron arc, I love the bustle of Novigrad, and Skellige is top tier too
I was expecting Ciri, but wish you could have made your own witcher and picked out your school.
I really didn't want Cirie to be the protagonist for this. Has nothing to do with her being a woman. I'm just sick of Geralt and his friends, it felt like 3 was a fitting conclusion
Wish they did a customisable character, let you choose which school your Witcher is from. The IP has so much potential beyond these characters

2 is simply fantastic and excellent but I feel the combat could have been better
also nice pfp, used to rock it too

Main plot falls off hard after Bloody Baron imo
They went with the least interesting plot option available :( trailer felt like a Witcher 3 side quest.
New voice actresses is a downgrade as well and… so is Ciri’s new face.
Also seems like she lost her powers & became a full Witcher instead? Weird choice
Can’t say I’m not disappointed/concerned from this.
Didn’t the trailer show Ciri still having her powers when she was pinned by the monster
