Ngl I sold my Playstation and I never ended up getting to the DLC so I dont currenly have any Witcher 3 saves. How important are the DLCs to the overall story?

Blood and wine dlc one of the best dlc's ever and very important

I hate revisitting games for DLCs

If anything I doubt this s*** will come before 2027 so I should have time for a replay on PC, if not I'll just grab a game save online

There’s option in menu to create a save to just play dlc and will have your character with proper level and equipment
