    Working on EVs

alot of ev manufactures are adopting the same business model as apple where third party repairing/ maintenance becomes increasingly difficult. Mercedes is already making it hard to open up the hoods of their evs

I'm sure by the time non-evs are off the road, some form of right to repair law will make it through at least for vehicles

There is no policy in the works to outlaw existing ICE vehicles. There will only be a ban on new sales.

Some of you are legit ed

What happened to the people who took care of horses when cars came around?

Sounds like we need to organize more for Right To Repair

Non-EV cars will obviously be phased out at some point. The right to repair all electronic and mechanical systems will last forever

most manufacturers especially European they already do that with gas cars lol n it doesnt really matter, it'll be the same

and ev mechanics are already a thing

wont be much difference besides the time it takes to learn the new trade

also drive american or japan if you live in usa n think its a big deal, theyre way more lenient than euro n korean cars n less cagey with parts support n sourcing

also modding n swapping gas car engines into ev batteries while keeping the shell is already a thing n becoming increasingly popular so the tuner, lowrider, hobby, hotrod, racer, drifer n aftermarket scenes will still be fed thus keeping local shops busy as long as they can adapt to ev skills n tools

60s lowrider chevrolets & 90s sports nissans etc. with electric batteries n systems
