robert patrick broke one of the ribs of the nigga who plays economos in a (future)? scene
That's not even the right date
Isn’t he talking about the date he started writing Superman…? So how would you know the exact date?
Yes it does
Y’all keep making excuses for the DCU and I don’t understand it at all
How is it required viewing lol
This season of peacemaker is absolutely not required even if it helps set up man of tomorrow. You think they can’t give a short intro at the beginning of the movie? Saying it’s required viewing before the script is even finalized is crazy.
Yeah so far this season it seems the only thing you’d need to know is if Lex potentially gets free but I think he stays in prison until they need him to help Superman in Man of Tomorrow
I mean this can still be explained just by having Rick Flag say Luther worked out a deal with us during the beginning at some point in the movie lol. Takes like one scene if that.

Obviously they could include a little blurb at the beginning of a movie for background context, no s*** lmao
But so far Creature Commandos has directly tied into Superman which directly set up Supergirl and tied into Peacemaker Season 2 which is directly setting up Man of Tomorrow and also a spinoff show
Anyone still saying that the DCU is trying to tell small self-contained stories that don’t set up the next project is absolutely lying to themselves
I say this as someone who prefers that style for a cinematic universe so I’m not s***ting on it, I just don’t get why some are in denial about it
The DCEU was closer to how people are describing the DCU to be

So you’re telling me you don’t think you can watch supergirl without seeing Superman because she took Krypto and said goodbye b****? And you wouldn’t get Superman without watching creature commandos? And now the unfinished scripts for man of tomorrow won’t make sense unless you see episode 7 and 8 of peacemaker that not even critics have seen yet?
You got it dude!

This same exact logic could be applied to the MCU but people still got annoyed at all of the TV shows being homework for follow-up movies.
James Gunn keeps saying that Episode 8 of Peacemaker Season 2 directly sets up Man of Tomorrow, but sure I’ll take your word for it that it doesn’t even though you haven’t seen the episode yet
There’s nothing wrong with a cinematic universe being connected, idk why some of y’all keep tryna cope so hard about it

Because it’s not required viewing yet lol. What was required so far to understand any of these shows or movies? You’re just being f***ing dumb lol

By this exact same logic no TV show in the MCU was required viewing either
But that logic is terrible because it’s false

Okay
James Gunn’s own words: “the Peacemaker Season 2 finale is as important as anything in setting up Man of Tomorrow”
Y’all: “it’s not required viewing!!!”

It’s crazy you think he’d make peacemaker with orgy scenes a must watch thing for a kid friendly movie man just think a little bit

It could simply be teasing the next villain that doesn’t make it essential lol

You don’t have to cope this hard lmao. It’s a cinematic universe. The entire point is for each entry to be connected to each other.
If you want a cinematic universe that’s not connected whatsoever go watch the DCEU
Like dog tell me how else this could be interpreted

Connected ≠ essential though. You can tease at it like villain or what the story could be and still have the movie be watchable without seeing the peacemaker finale lol. And I highly doubt he’d make kids who will obviously see the next Superman movie watch a MA rated show lol.

It’s not cope lol I plan on watching everything like I mostly did with marvel. I just think it’s insane you think he’d make peacemaker essential for a Superman movie that families will go to see.

Clayface is going to be rated-R. Nowhere did James Gunn ever say he was making a PG-13 universe

He has been promoting Peacemaker Season 2 this entire time by repeatedly saying that it is setting up the next movie in the Superman Saga.
Do you think he’s saying that so people don’t watch Peacemaker?
If he didn’t want “families” who saw Superman to watch Peacemaker, he would say that the two aren’t connected whatsoever

Okay? Why didn’t they say f*** in Superman then but they had Lex say it in the show? Because they want who to go see Superman movies? Everyone of all ages wow and this wouldn’t be possible if what show is required to watch? Peacemaker! Because it’s rated MA and some kids can’t watch it.
