When peacemaker finds out he's actually the reincarnation of Orion and he's Darkseids son

lotta hate for this episode. I understand most of it but idk I still enjoyed the episode and the season.
Season 2 > Season 1 still. I have no desire to rewatch season 1 at all but I can see myself wanting to return to season 2.
I'm assuming Peacemaker Season 3+ will just be Checkmate?
James Gunn needs to get out of his own ass
I feel like he cares more about Swedish Metal song choices than writing a cohesive finale anymore
Creature Commandos finale was dumb as f***, Superman's 'punk rocker' ending was dumb, and this circle of friends & love episode was dumb
Also I didn't need Gunn himself to tell me how tacked on the scene was at the end, I could tell immediately
It would be nice if he reveals s*** like this on the tv show or movie, instead of him talking.

Gotta love this standalone cinematic universe telling isolated, non-connected stories like Gunn originally advertised. So isolated that each entry is directly tying into each other!

Music has become wayyyyyy too much of a crutch for him
The needle drop/montage scenes have to stop

Nah come on Punkrocker is different....
I swear to god if Flagg is back in CC2 like nothing happened
If he is the villain of S2 however that could be intriguing

How much will you integrate TV and movies in the DCU?
I want to make it so that you can watch anything by itself. I’m not expecting people to go into Man of Tomorrow and know what Salvation is. We will say it in the movie. You’ll find out anything you need to know about, such meta-human’s disappearing, through that movie. It’s a very delicate balance when writing these things because I have to give the information to the audience. But simultaneous to that, it is not a mystery. We’re going to uncover stuff that we’ve already seen Peacemaker.
So, you’ve got to be able to take the story in a way that people who already know the information are not going to be bored, and where people who don’t know the information will get the information in an easy and simple way.But also, not to be burdened by stuff. You don’t want to make these things so complex, there needs to be an elegance to the storytelling that. Too many mumbo-jumbo things like magic stones that do this and that, there’s no emotional aspect to that. A prison in another dimension is easy for me to understand and say in one sentence.

The only one worth it since The Suicide Squad was Mr. Terrific's beach scene
I will say that one was Guardians level usage of song. I fear it may be his last 10/10 needledrop moment for a HOT minute.

AKA how every cinematic universe ever operates

The only thing that consoles me is the Princess is dead. Her entire is she, isn't she a villain arc was f\*\*\*ing dumb. Plus how is she realistically gonna nuke the US? Why did she even want to?

The part where she gets caught on camera just casually hanging out with Clayface was so stupid

That’s what has me curious cause logically he’d just throw them in salvation
Why yall hating on this ep exactly?
Cause while different, it was pretty great imo
Or is it cause y'all expected Supes cameo or so?
