Why yall hating on this ep exactly?
Cause while different, it was pretty great imo
Or is it cause y'all expected Supes cameo or so?
Personally, I didn’t like that the episode was back to back montages that ends on a cliff hanger. Didn’t ruin the season for me or anything but I did feel like they could’ve just tacked on an extra 30 minutes to last episode and it would’ve been a better conclusion
I wonder if his big culmination film is a form of Final Crisis
Which is weird for a new universe but with him doing Salvation Run for MOT/Checkmate I can’t help but think that’s where he’s going
I only know salavation run from the neal adams joker cover
but I don’t think it’s final crisis. Seems like Gunn is combing elements instead of just straight adapting
This season is more of personal journey to Peacemaker while last season had bigger world stakes. Because it was so personal I do think some of the side characters got sidelined and some weren’t needed at all like the guy in the green suit
Peacemaker lowkey toxic making Harcourt admit their kiss meant something or else he’s just gonna give up on life
Also the beginning of the season set up an arc of Peacemaker feeling like he needs validation as a hero and that never got resolved
I don't really get the relevance of Salvation. It feels like an expanded version of what we just did in Superman
Lex developed a dimensional prison he kept metahumans and advesaries he had personal grievances with. And now Rick (with Luthercorp) have developed a more stable dimensional prison for metahumans and adversaries they have personal grievances with.
Like is Superman going to end up in another dimensional prison he has to work with folks to get out of....again?

I don't think that would necessarily be the case
I would say in this scenario, the villains in said prison would team up to get out and end up forming some version of the Legion of Doom.
I don't think Salvation is going to end in MoT, I think it's going to last until Justice League.
I saw someone say the JL movie could be close to the New Frontier story and that would make a lot of sense. The meta-heroes would naturally team up because their villains teamed up to escape Salvation.
So literally the last movie he did lol
He's had like 10 needledrop scenes between Creature Commandos s1/Superman/and Peacemaker s2 this year
One of them hit to the same degree they used to. And it wasn't because it was some giant song everyone knew like on Guardians or The Suicide Squad.
Crazy how we get zero motivations for why Flag did what he did, the writing was utter dogshit

I'd be down if this could lead to some cool LoD origin, but if this is born out of an anti meta-humans sentiment, why wouldn't heroes also be at risk here too? Flag (and Lex) are selling this as a way to capture villains for good, but both of their actual intentions are just punishing personal gripes. Lex straight up would just want Superman and potentially other heroes there. Maybe MoT will clarify further, but i don't see how a consensus emerges to specifically target "villains" with everyone on board
Lex is also typically the founding LoD member. Like idk we'll have to see but based off that i could also imagine a scenario where heroes or anti-heroes being captured could also create a vacuum for a significant big bad to take over.
Yall trust in the process….. one weak episode everyone up in arms 😂
Only one weak episode ? 😅
I don't like this. MoT? Sure, everything involving them? No.
it was Rick Flag's story all along!
My fav character tbh
hes mean to his mom i forgot thats what cemented my dislike
