Dec 28, 2022MONEYDRAGONim expecting dcu to be better than mcu because it seems james gunn has way more creative control over it compared to disney boardrooms overseeing the slate n scripts
but im still scared it will be like mcu where it never feels like theres real stakes and misplaced whedon type jokes that break tension in serious moments
but the best case scenario i can see is gunn giving us an array of different vibes thru each phase of the dc slate going forward
so we prolly get like a mcu tier lighthearted superman movie with unfunny jokes
but we get a gareth evans deathstroke movie same yeari think Gunn has the benefit of hindsight in terms of seeing how the MCU has played out over the years - what worked, what didn't etc. he can utilise that and help shape DCU if he plays his cards right.

Absolutely. It's really wild how under used and ignored his character has been in live action DC films
And Gunn likes to write characters who are underdogs and don't get much representation in media, so I think it's a given that he will want Robin in the DCU

reason i liked snyderverse is because it was different from the comics and the animated universe
i dont want copy and pasted comic book universe n ima try not to think about it because im getting sick to my stomach living wit the fact james gunn is in after we had just gotten cavill back 3 months ago this will hurt me forever.....
on a side note i literally jus got done watching black adam 2 minutes ago and wow that was f***ing terrible but i loved the rock as black adam unironically sad he not coming back - Dec 31, 2022
