brooooo the roles they laid off were the scrum master and project manager role so they have me taking over their responsibilities while they find a backfill

they did this as we’re about to have a release so I’m getting pounded with all the responsibility of filling out our deployment forms and having these last minute meetings I’ve never done this s*** before I don’t have the answers sway

i’ve never felt so clueless

they also have me transitioning to a new product team because they laid off everyone on my team since they’re phasing it out and I got saved, but for the next month I have to be working on 2 product teams and be in double meetings

absolutely not lmao I’ve only been here for 6 months 😂😭

i mean the BA role is essentially a co-PM role where I’m familiar with our product roadmap, timelines, etc. but I’ve never done any of the processes this mf had to do. Next in line was the Scrum master that got laid off, but they gave them 2 days off following the news so I haven’t even been able to talk with them on knowledge transfer stuff or what I should do. On top of that, now that the PM is gone, I have the head of the entire product division directly hounding me for answers

they did this s*** only a week after we had our EOY raise discussion and I only got a 3k bump. Would’ve asked for at least a 10k bump given I’d have to fill 3 roles until they get their s*** together

Kidding, good luck though. I shadowed a product marketing manager for a bit since I was interested in becoming one, but had to fall back a bit because that s*** was a lot.

scrum master and PM that got laid off had been with the team for 10 years and ran every meeting so the team pretty much hates me by default. First meeting I had to lead this morning, I was 2 min late to because Teams wouldn’t load and then my computer decided to restart 5 min 😂😂😂💯💯👌
