LOLL I'm just trolling
That's deadass like 2-3 days out of my week though
Also, deadass, my job requires technical knowledge, but since it's more on the project management side of things, ChatGPT has been a game changer. I'll be in meetings and just turning dictation on when I don't know what to do or what something does and people think I'm a genius now.

can you expand on this?
can you expand on this?
infinite use cases, but for example, I was in a meeting just now and my PM was like "hey I'm awful with jira, do you know if there's a way to create a filter to view ____". It was something super specific and had a lot of queries involved. I turned on dictation with ChatGPT in another tab repeating the question back to them to sound like I was confirming. While they confirmed, chatGPT pumped out a JQL query with the exact details of what to do in like 3 seconds. Again, just one example, but there's so much you can do this for.
At 23, dats nice.
What path you take to land that?
I'm in IT but trying to pivot into a mixed business role of sorts. Purely technical s*** may not be for me.
like someone else mentioned, if you can stay in a technical role, do it. Project management lane pay can be very lucrative, but Dev roles are almost uncapped in terms of earning potential rn. I graduated with a degree in management information systems which is basically where you take half business courses, half comp sci (java, sql, css/html, database design, etc.). I honestly had no internships, but I did this WFH thing with Apple where I basically did tech support. I feel like having that name on my resume even if it wasn't a prestigious position gave me a good opportunity to get my foot in the door and I worked a new grad BA role for one of the top 3 health insurance companies. Exactly a year later, I got reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn and jumped at the opportunity since it was like a 35k bump in salary.
If you're in college or just have no experience in this, my biggest piece of advice is to use ANY experience you have and tailor your resume to the job description. Any volunteer work, school project, etc. Prior to landing a job, aside from Apple, the only experience I had was a school project where me and 4 people revamped a non-profit's website and I milked that as experience with "managing a project involving a team of developers to identify requirements in a companies infrastructure to remodel their in-house software".
Everyday I want to leave legal/tech/PE and become a primary school teacher
nah, i have teacher friends and hearing their stories make me so grateful for what i do

Sorry I forgot to comment on this but this is hilariously shrewd

I'm feeling the pull for community
Wish I was the owner of an old & cozy coffee and sandwhich shop. And everyday I would watch my customers stream in and out, and make conversation with them, and try to be a bright spot in their day. And I’m a pillar of my community and eventually become a master of my craft. And I don’t have to worry about money because I make a decent living and am satisfied. And every night I close my lil shop and sigh contently at another day well spent…
but anyway... back to these emails 🥱
