Just make sure you get certs and work experience.

they are still using calculated excel sheets for huge reports
spent the last month converting all their excel reports to powerbi / sql queries because they tried offloading some of their reports on to me
straight up told my manager nah i’m not doing that, there’s way easier ways and proved it to him. and now he’s got me converting all their s***
insane cause the last department i was in here was so forward thinking and up to date, can’t believe this one is so far behind technology wise

Last job I was at one of the tier 2 guys was completely adored for making a continuous ping script in Powershell, that automatically converted to .txt. So we could keep track of outages/network issues on customer's computers remotely, without being engaged with them directly.
When I left the job I was curious about it and spent a few hours researching... built that s*** same day. Its literally a f***in line of code

My employer playing WAY too much
Promised a raise because of added responsibilities and a new job function, but today I receive the contract per mail which basically indicates no change to my wages whatsoever. Calling HR tomorrow and then the union, but today I'm sending out an application for one job elsewhere, sending out a follow up mail for a position I applied for last week and writing down the number of the HR person I've had interviews with for a job I applied for last year (hell, I ought to send her an email this evening too), where I was second choice because this job is available again. Enough f***ery. Long list of employees that have already jumped ship, I gotta be next on that list because this is not the first time they've been f***ing around 
Pray for me, I got two weeks to pull this off.I did it. Last day at work today was legitimately hilarious levels of awkwardness. Onto greener pastures.

I’m ecstatic today.
Today marks my first paid holiday from work and I’m about to slide on down to the beach on my bike. It looks like an amazing day outside and I must take advantage of this opportunity.
