I'm currently a data a***yst by accident and I hate my job. I had just got promoted to this position and self taught myself basic s***. I have no passion in it . I do about a total of 7 hrs of work a week at most and get paid for 40. I have to be at the office for 40 though. It pays the bills but I wish life was more fulfilling.
I found myself chasing the check and ended up bored in my work life. Wish I did something I was passionate
Expecting most of you guys to say passion but a large part of you guys don't have bills or live on your own . Want opinions from adults
Pursuing your passion head on is the most liberating thing in the world. Can’t imagine not giving it a shot with the one life you got, f*** playin it safe . F*** living to die

Do you live on your own?
Just put your passion in your freetime
You have tons of money and free time stop complaining
Happiness is an activity
It is self sufficient and complete
Working for the dough won’t bring you happiness because it is not being done for the sake of itself. Rather, you need money for the sake of other things in life which will never truly make you happy

Not even good money. It's just 45-50k a year depending on stuff.
money is not worth a job you hate, but your passion might not be viable, find something you’re at least okay with daily imo
I‘m glad I got both currently.
But if I had to decide I would either try to fulfill my passion during free time (learning instruments, coaching football, reading books - whatever makes you happy!) or I would quit the job I hate.
But if I was in your shoes (from what you said) I would try to use my free time and see how that works out.
Changing a job for me is always gambling. You don’t seem to work that much and get good money.
Maybe you can use your time at work for your passion?
We can’t choose for you and you already came in knowing what many would say anyway. This is something only you can decide

You make the same as me, you're right it's a perfectly acceptable income but nothing amazing.
My COL is like just over 1k per month.
I’m studying social work in college right now because it’s my passion and I want to help young black men specifically but the average social worker makes like 40k
Thinking of switching to speech pathology or something...so I can make good money but may not be as happy doing.

How much do you get paid ? A lot of career aptitude tests keep pushing me towards that direction
U just blow in from stupid town buddy? You do 7 hours of work a week and get paid a full salary. You’re literally in the perfect position to chase your passions.
