  • getting paid 45-50k yearly working 7h a week is basically winning the f***ing lottery lol

like everyone else has and will say, work on your passion with the other minimum 33 hours of free time a week you have

iono if op meant that he literally only works 7 hours a week, i think he meant that he is only busy 7 hours and the rest are work done to make himself look busy

U just blow in from stupid town buddy? You do 7 hours of work a week and get paid a full salary. You’re literally in the perfect position to chase your passions.

I'm still at the office 40 hrs a week pretending to be busy

How much do you get paid ? A lot of career aptitude tests keep pushing me towards that direction

50 k and I was hired with less skills then the job requires. Once I'm trained I'll demand at least 60 k maybe 70 I. Can move into 6 figures

I‘m glad I got both currently.

But if I had to decide I would either try to fulfill my passion during free time (learning instruments, coaching football, reading books - whatever makes you happy!) or I would quit the job I hate.

But if I was in your shoes (from what you said) I would try to use my free time and see how that works out.

Changing a job for me is always gambling. You don’t seem to work that much and get good money.

Maybe you can use your time at work for your passion?

I'm currently teaching myself how to program so I can move companies.

I feel it's my company that's unfulfilling at times. The technology is way behind and the culture is horrible

The realistic answer is dependant on your passion. If it's something you can't actually do and you're willing to sacrifice then it's definitely worth it. You're sacrificing stability for it but depending on what that passion is, it's likely worth it.
One option is to kind of just stick it out for a while until you get enough funds to support the other passion and do the other one on the side for a while and if it takes off then leave the regular job, again idk what that passion is though so I can't say
