I feel like this album sums up everything Kanye’s been through in the past 20 years of his career very well. With Come to Life and NCLB closing the album it feels like a great way to end it if Kanye announced he was retiring tomorrow

    very much so

dont need another album from man

let em focus on something else, stop bothering him

I always feel like a ‘final’ album hits more if the listener knows it’s final (or at least intended to be)

& I don’t know, I get the feeling Ye has been reinvigorated by music, especially with his comments in Berlin, so selfishly hoping it’s not his last

But if it turns out to be, well it was one hell of a way to close out

    No
He has a lot of music to still make and he has expressed how god sent him to make music in recent interviews. I don't see him stopping anytime soon.
His rapping has seen an improvement from last few years, his singing is better than it's ever been.
    he himself said it best:

    This just the beginning

i agree, to me this felt like him on his way back to making big event albums like Pablo again.

With Ye/JiK it felt like his music career was fading, he's right back at the top of hip hop again now. Obviously a few like Kendrick and Drake are bigger, but he's in the conversation more this time. It seems like he wouldn't want to walk away from that, when being a big rapper probably helps with all the other things he does

We’ve said this before with albums like Pablo. He’s not retiring he’ll be back

He’ll probably never “retire.” Challenge is finding what to do next but he’ll figure it out. Hope he focuses more on collab efforts and takes a 2-3 years off from solo

If anything this seems to be a rejuvenation more than a summary with how much he put in compared to the past 3 25 min albums

Only if the last song on the album was come to life

  • Sep 21, 2021

    yes

  • Sep 21, 2021

This would be a good stopping point for 5 years. Not hungry for another ye album tbh

  • Sep 21, 2021

Yes but we know there’s more coming

  • Sep 21, 2021

Kanye should end his career with a 4:44 type album but more experimental where he raps about cheating on Kim K, his kids, Black issues, and his mental health in depth.

Posthumous albums will drop when we're grandpas

  • Sep 21, 2021

No, too many features, not enough verses from Kanye himself and even production is mostly done by some other people.

I want his last album to be as hands on as possible, no writers, without 100 additional producers.

ye's last album needa be his 4:44

  • Sep 21, 2021

i think he'll probably take an extended hiatus from this and maybe one or two more albums later will be the final final

  • Sep 21, 2021

Unless Kanye says the album is his final I won’t expect any current one to be, especially when he still talks about music like he wants to keep working

I see his career in a few chapters:

Dropout era: TCD - LR - Grad

    Heartbreak: 808s

Dark Fantasy era: MBDTF - WTT - CS

    Yeezus era: Yeezus - Pablo

    Wyoming era: Ye - KSG

    Jesus era: JIK - Donda

IMO, he's made the statement that he wanted to with this chapter. I'd like to see him come back inspired for the next one rather than continuing to mine the same ideas. Berlin excites the hell out of me in that regard

not really its still great though
