    F***ing real

  • It is true that a lot of suffering takes place in our mind and not reality

No, switching off your phone and being oblivious isnt the way, but it can help you change the way you perceive these things, and while it wont end the problems, it will treat the mental discontent

99% of the "problems" in the world stop existing once you turn off your phone

Other than the pandemic of course which will hopefully go away sooner than later

Absolutely not. If I were to turn my phone off right now it would fix exactly 0% of any meaningful problems in my life.

I do have plenty of problems in my life, but I will be fine. I just think that it's incredibly dismissive to tell people that if they turn their phones off 99% of their problems will just disappear.

    appreciate it fr fr

i been a lurker for a long time since ktt1, i didn’t post back then that much tho.

i became more active recently bc quarantine, but i genuinely love this community. i actually get a laugh from the trolls here, that’s how much i like it lol

it’s one of the few online spaces where you can talk music and not be met with blatant racism too so that’s why i care a lot tbh. i love music and as a black guy it’s hard to find spaces (online and irl) that respect hip hop as much as any other genre. it’s changing now but this was a v important forum back in the day. still is but it was special to me as a young kanye fan.

It’s like that was the year where life just turned to s*** for everyone and has gone downhill since

I remember because summer 2015 was lit. IYRTITL just came out and everybody was having a good time

But then 2016 arrived. People soon realized Trump was a serious presidential candidate and for some odd reason gained a huge following very quickly.

The left began growing in huge numbers made up of millennials and minority groups including LGBTQ. Politics has become so ingrained in our daily lives you can’t escape it anymore.

Everyone is offended by something. Everyone has to feel victimized in some way. Everyone is choosing a side. Nobody is getting along. People getting cancelled left and right.

Why has life just gone to s***. The covid pandemic just exacerbated everything x10. People losing jobs. People dying.

Technology went from being this amazing thing to people becoming afraid of it. Automation is a real thing. AI is coming for jobs.

Social media has become such a significant part of society that it’s almost taking over our reality itself. Too many people have voices causing divide. Depression and comparing our lives to one another. Seeing everyone’s highlights and feeling alone because we don’t have that.

I’m afraid to have children for Christ’s sake because politicians and celebrities are making it seem like we are all doomed no matter what. Climate. Social injustice. Equality. Racism.

I’m so tired of it man. What is the root cause of this s***? I know these problems have been around forever. But even as a minority myself, it’s like social media and the politicians are trying so hard to get minorities to feel victimized. We know we don’t have the same privileges, but don’t spoon feed that s*** to us on a daily basis just to get our vote.

Sure I’ve dealt with racism. But damn man I just move on because whit people will always be the most powerful and I’m okay with that. They will always make the decisions. They are 70% of the US population. You can’t represent everyone.

Great post man, I live in Brazil and what you said it's exactly what's happening in a very strong manner here too. I mean this polarization of society
