It’s a good album but not a classic. Some of these songs didn’t age the best (Lift Off, That’s My B**** to name a few). Paris and Otis are definitely classic singles though.

I think it’s revered as a classic so much because the moment it created. Collab albums weren’t a thing when it dropped and it happened to be the two biggest rap names at the time. It also came out of nowhere when it dropped so that added a lot of shock value.

Also it didnt "come out of nowhere" when it dropped. It was the most anticipated album at the time and was the first big rap album not to leak and actually come out entirely on time. Will never forget where I was when the clock hit midnight and I could finally hit play. Its MBDTF2 with Jay on it
