It’s hilarious how E3 kept reassuring everyone they would be back, year after year of canceling it

E3 officially dead is sad to me. It brought everybody in the gaming community together. The VG version of the super bowl. Gaming nowadays is missing that E3 Hype rollout tbh but as we're moving virtually it's understandable.

The fact that it could've says alot to it's longevity. 06-08 were considered some of the worst years for E3. The fact it bounced back and still maintained relevance for the successive 10 years after it speaks volumes.

there's too many f***in gaming shows now.

E3 was great cause it was 1 time in the year when you'd know the best games get announced. I don't have time to keep up with everything anymore.

I remember in the early to mid 00s, I'd always wait for the E3 edition of a gaming magazine that came out here in croatia just to see what new things were coming out and get f***in hyped
