Real s***.
Mans was one of the most talented musicians we've ever seen in hiphop at such a young age, its a shame he didnt get nowhere near his full potential.
His first studio album amazed me and I consider it a great album (could maybe even be a classic one day) but I remember listening to "?" for the first time when it just came out, even though its an average project, and thinking "wow.. all this potential and versatility, cant wait for him to grow into a full blown artist with his own distinctive sound, he is going to run the mainstream scene"
And then just... damn
His looks and his charisma were outta this world too.
Easily the most attractive and charismatic young musician alive, which is a huge superstar factor.
His energy was felt even through IG videos and whoever was following him before his death KNOWS he was trying really, really hard to become a better person.
He began preaching about positivity all the time and you could tell it was sincere.
He knew he made mistakes and he was trying to better himself and was slowly turning into a whole new positivity-oriented person.
He probably did have some kind of mental issues that he needed help with but you could tell his heart was pure.
I swear on everything he coudve been on Travis and Drake level of popularity in a very short time frame.
R.I.P. young legend
Juice Wrld was. R.I.P.
Juice Wrld was. R.I.P.
Juice wrld made music almost exclusively for lil kids
I didnt know a single grown ass person that listened to juice wrld before his death.
No disrespect. I love Juice. R.I.P.

His music was youthful but it wasn't childish. He talked about the problems most adults deal with on the daily. (Heartbreak, d****, sadness, etc.)
Nah OP is right he absolutely was
It doesn’t matter if you liked the music - with people who are genrebending like he was it’s easy to hate some of the first artists to push it that way
From a numbers perspective though he was rising unbelievably rapidly, he had an incredible ear for melody and he had artistic drive
Juice WRLD was another one who was clearly on his way to that level
KTT: I didn’t like this music so this is not true despite the objective factors indicating otherwise

Most artists do.
He also didnt seem to be capable of crafting a great project from front to back. He was more of a singles artist.
I dont know of any other newcomer that both Kendrick and Kanye were amazed by... that speaks volumes

this, the music is irrelevant to the topic, his numbers were skyrocketing and he was becoming a household name
Look at how many artists are still trying to follow a sound that he never even had a chance to develop
How many artists directly cite him as an influence
He literally had two years of commercial music to his name
That’s absurd
This the kind of emotionally-driven song that only top-tier artists can make (Kanye, Kendrick, Frank Ocean)...
True and I didn’t even like his music that much, he definitely had the strongest grip on the youth and biggest movement out of all the soundcloud rappers
That’s why to this day I’m still thinking someone got him killed to get him out of the way, whether it was drake or someone from the Florida scene

There’s no such a thing as objective factors in music
There’s no such a thing as objective factors in music
There is when you’re talking about who’s gonna be a star
You can look at sales numbers, trends, fame, influence etc
