Just cancelled my regular digital order for the digital deluxe so I can play tonight

same here. judgment is basically over with lost judgment because of the johnny talent agency still living in the 1940s. huge shame because i really appreciate how good the writing is in the series.

i'm sure yakuza games will still be decent since it's a pretty well established series after a dozen games, but i don't have high hopes for the future if nagoshi isn't there.

Yep. Shame the talent agency is being d***heads bust its their talent/culture. I’m gonna savor this one. Was hoping judgment could be a just as long running spin-off until that news came out a while back.

The one saving grace is the new found popularity for the series AND the new jrpg direction being well received. The problem with all of that is, judgement was supposed to carry one the legacy of the old yakuza. With all things pointing towards it being done, without an alternative some fans might reject the jrpg style. Idk i’m off a blunt rambling but yeah, I have my concerns for the series going forward.

I’ve been traveling for work a lot lately. I have been tryna thug it out through Yakuza Ishin via remote play. It plays pretty well on the vita. Makes me wanna play other games in the series just handheld. I’d suggest anybody with a vita try and see how it feels to them. The PSP games are honestly fun to play but the graphics plus the fact they arent translated makes them almost just collectors items. They aren’t unplayable. It’s hard to explain. They both can be had for not too much if you’re into collecting stuff like that.

Only like an hour or two in, but if they really wanted to continue the Judgement series I feel like they could definitely spin it off with another particular character from the series taking the lead role

yeah, that's a good point. i'm sure they could pull something out of their asses to make another game w/ the brawler combat, assuming lost judgment is the final game. i'm sure a new game won't be too far away, considering they're pretty much dropping a new game every year at this point. which tbh, is kinda impressive.

think one of my friends was replaying yakuza black panther (?) on psp earlier this year and said it's been great. hoping to see ishin get a localization. was somewhat considering emulating it since there's an english patch for it (and have heard it's really solid)

Yagami 3rd fight style might be my favorite in the entire yakuza series

yeah, i think they primarily make pc/mobile games, among being a crazy big internet company in general. definitely gonna be interesting to see what the future holds for both rgg studio & nagoshi (assuming he is being poached by netease)

the dude at gamestop messed up the order when i placed it like two months ago. guess the payment was having issues, even though i put the full price down from a gift card when i initially ordered it. no idea what happened, but surprised they're getting it out to me in a day.

you might be right. i remember checking my order status yesterday, and it was showing something along the lines of "pending availability" next to the steelbook. still could probably get one if you were to preorder now
