It started super slow but the end of the first chapter was dope. Im hooked already even tho i know its still just the beginning

Was just thinking randomly about this a week ago. Yakuza zero was so fun

If you told me 4 years ago I could enjoy a 50+ hour game with zero English being spoken Id smack the s*** outta someone.

But it was an experience

Finally playing 7, warming up to Ichiban but he's kinda a p****

Man should I just skip Kiwami 1? The boss at the clan HQ took forever and the substories arent that cool. Yakuza 0 was fire

Man I shed a tear or two playing that game...

It's not as good as 0 but if you care about story i'd try to power through it. It's one of the better Yakuza games when it comes to story and some very important characters in the series are introduced in this game

also gotta experience that second song playing in the credits after the fact. 0 to Kiwami so fire

I just can't get into the battle system

Not a fan of turn based combat systems?

For story purposes just power through it and ignore side stuff

Finally should complete Ishin this weekend

Zero, Kiwami 2 and 7 are 100% the best in the series

I wouldn’t say 100% but they are are top titles in the series.

"As for what's next, Nagoshi said he couldn't reveal much about the game his studio was currently developing, but said he wanted it to be "more like a Quentin Tarantino film".

Nagoshi listed the elements he wanted to include in the studio's new IP, which seem quite typical of a Yakuza game. Violence, humour and "a human touch, some silliness and some seriousness" is how Nagoshi described it - elements from Yakuza's formula which that series perfected over the years."

Finished Ishin last weekend. Will start Kenzan this weekend!

You play Ishin in Japanese or did you use the English patch?

I thugged it out with basically youtube videos for dialogue/cutscenes.

Google for if I ever really got stumped. I thoroughly enjoyed it though.
