Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name - 2023
They really bustin out games.
Supposedly this is like a side story, action game, takes place between 6 and 7.
They’re dropping ‘Yakuza’ from the title & ‘Like A Dragon’ is the new name.
Like A Dragon: Ishin - Feb/2023
Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name - 2023 Will be about Kiryuu after 6.
Like A Dragon 8 - 2024 Ichiban & Kiryuu will both be protagonists.

Man, Gaiden makes that 2024 release for 8 so much less far away lol
2024 is so far
How does Kiryu keep finding his way back into the bullshit
Wonder how this'll work with the RPG s*** since technically all the goofy RPG s*** is supposed to be in Ichiban's head, so how will it look when you're playing as Kiryu
Cleaned up the OP
A new chapter awaits
I'm still calling these Yakuza games tho, they gonna miss me with that rebrand
F*** these guys bringing back Kiryu man
I'm actually annoyed
Kiryu pushing 60 and still in the streets
also
https://twitter.com/SEGA_OFFICIAL/status/1570029678739750913I CAN FINALLY TRY THESE 2 OUT
Best RGG games by far. Enjoy.
Kiryu pushing 60 and still in the streets
Forreal
Don't get me wrong, I love Kiryu; it's hard not to. I take issue with the fact that 6 is built up to be the end of his story and the torch is passed to Ichiban in 7, then they bring his ass back as a main protagonist again?

From what I saw on Twitter, Kiryu will also have turn based combat, along with his own party.
they finally made him look old
(kinda)
I think it's dyed as a disguise because (6 spoilers) He's supposed to be dead after 6, I think, or like faked his death lmao

Saw someone on the reddit theorize that since the 6 ending
It'll be Kiryu pretending to be someone else and hiding his own abilities, since as we know he mopped up Ichiban and crew, and is still like the strongest guy in Japan even at like 56 now lore wise
Yakuza and continuity been wacky so I'm not bothered with it, but it's like what's it take to finally retire this man for good lmao
Like in 5 the ending didn't even matter

Nagoshi wouldn't have let this happen
Nagoshi wouldn't have let this happen
Nagoshi officially left around this time last year
So he probably had some input on these or future ideas in general
He probably left on good terms with the directors, so they could probably still hit him up get his thoughts if they wanted I'm sure
